This might be a tough one to understand. You guys may be asking yourself; don’t content and
satisfied mean the same thing? Nah, not really!
Contentment is something we should all be striving for. To be content, as far as I’m concerned,
is to be able to be happy in the life you’re living; to have the ability to be grateful for what
you have and enjoy life. I’m content, but not satisfied.
To say that you’re satisfied with everything in your life is just a way to justify giving up
on your dreams. I believe that if you ever feel completely satisfied with everything in your life,
you then you haven’t set the bar high enough. You’ve given in to the temptation to accept
mediocrity. You’ve settled for being a good rather than striving to be great. I encourage
you to not allow yourself to be completely satisfied with your life.
I’ve never been satisfied with life, I always wish and wanted more so as to improve
myself a little each time. Not that I’m demanding or whatsoever but this world is realistic.
Don’t judge a book by its cover? Too bad, we always judge a person by its cover first.
And we always Complain, Criticize and Compare. Just like we always complaining that
Singapore is such a small world, no place to go on weekends and etc. But when it
comes to work that require us to travel, we complain that it’s far! How funny?!
I’m those kind of person when I feel that this is not what I want or like, I quit.
I don't live to please anyone. Life is short, no point doing those things that we do not like it.
Some people may say, “No choice”, But hey! You have a choice! It’s just the matter of you
whether you want or not?
Take a few minutes at the end of each day this week to be thankful for what you have and
also think about the things that you still want to achieve. That way you can work on finding
contentment, but you’ll avoid falling into the trap of feeling satisfied.
Lastly, before I end this post I would like to tell you guys something. Is that I'll be going for
a casting this coming Saturday to reach the peak point in my career with a reputed firm.
I'll tell you guys what is it about if only I pass? Haha!
Wish me luck! :)
